Summer 2025: Program 1 – Day 4

  • July 11, 2025
  • By Author: Alannah Smyth

As the week of academic classes has come to a close, the students can now turn their attention to the busy weekend ahead. Before the exciting excursions ahead in the coming days students had an afternoon full of fun activities.

With the warm and sunny weather today, the students set off into town to grab lunch from their choice of four yummy restaurants. Whether they fancied authentic Mexican street food from Nanna Mexico or juicy burgers from Byron Burgers, there were plenty of delicious options.

We had a range of taster courses taking place after lunch, including Engineering where the students built and coded their own robot!

With lovely weather today, the students were able to spend the rest of their afternoon chilling on the college grounds, and taking some downtime. Students also had a great chance to gain exclusive access to other colleges, as Cambridge University open days took place around the city, offering students insight into life as a Cambridge undergraduate!

Students had the option to soak up the sunshine and let their creativity shine by doing some Landscape Painting! Others were able to make the most of our tennis courts, football pitches and volleyball during the Corpus Sports fest!

Our Law students had an unforgettable day, starting with an exclusive visit to the UK Supreme Court, followed by a thrilling performance of Agatha Christie’s “Witness for the Prosecution” at the iconic London County Hall!

The student’s  evening lecture was one of insight and intrigue as they explored The Life of Charles Dickens!

In the evening we  hosted the popular International Quiz, with questions about culture, sport, music and food from all over the world. Students had their knowledge put to their test, as they battled it out in teams to win points for Ice and Fire!

Looking ahead to tomorrow, students are in for a treat as we head off to the home of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, before taking a trip to Warwick Castle. This excursion is such a hit each year, and we cannot wait for this year’s cohort to see the charm and delight of Shakespeare’s town, as well as the majestic Warwick Castle, both enriched with English history!

Come back tomorrow to hear all about the excursion day, and check out our Instagram and Tiktok for more daily updates! (@reachcambridge)
