Reach Cambridge August 2016: Day 12

  • August 11, 2016
  • By Author: Jenny
It’s mid-way through the final week, and the fun shows no sign of stopping! In amongst academic classes, there were lots of events and activities, including the last few mock interviews. Students also continued to deliver their ‘charity auction’ bids – there was a visit to the beautiful Botanic Gardens, a trip up the tower of Great St Mary’s (offering what many believe to be the best view of Cambridge), tours around St John’s College and Trinity College, punting (with scones!) and a lovely painting of the sea. In the evening was the Talent Show – an absolutely incredible evening jam-packed with performances from students and staff alike! It was very varied – there were fantastic musical performances on the cello, piano and ukulele, as well as presentations, dancing singing, storytelling, and spoken word. Once again we were all flabbergasted by the huge wealth of talent amongst the students, and so happy and humbled to have witnessed it at this magical event.
