And just like that, the final day of Reach’s first summer program has come to an end. It’s hard to believe how quickly the past two weeks have flown by, but what a journey it’s been!
This morning was a little slower-paced than usual, giving everyone the chance to start packing. With suitcases slowly filling and room keys being handed in, it started to feel real: the program was drawing to a close.
This has been the largest cohort in Reach Cambridge history, and it’s safe to say, what an incredible group it’s been. The energy, kindness, talent, and curiosity you’ve brought to every lecture, activity, and conversation have made this a summer we’ll never forget.
Then it was time for the Reach on the Beach: The Departure Party!
Set outside in the golden evening light, the BBQ was sizzling, the music was playing, and spirits were high. Students and staff alike gathered for one final celebration, an evening full of singing, dancing, and all-out joy. Whether it was a spontaneous dance circle, a heartfelt goodbye, or just soaking in the summer sun with friends, the atmosphere was something special.
As the night went on, supervisors handed out awards, celebrating the many moments that made this program so unforgettable.
As curfew approached, the students said their goodbyes, before making their way back to their own colleges, with many having an early start to catch Reach’s Heathrow Express! We have had such a blast with our first cohort of the summer, and we cannot wait to hear what you get up to in the future.
