Welcome to Reach Cambridge Summer 2025! This year we are welcoming our biggest cohort to date, and we are confident that it will be an incredible summer. Today, we have welcomed a new cohort of students from all over the world, for an adventure of new friends and lifelong memories, alongside an academically stimulating experience. We cannot wait to get started!
This year, we are staying in several beautiful and historic colleges. The students are split across the three colleges: Trinity Hall, Gonville & Caius and Corpus Christi – each site with its own individual beauty. No matter where you stay, you’ll be surrounded by Cambridge’s unique charm. After settling into their rooms, the students were able to take a tour of the city, led by our amazing supervisors, to show them around the other colleges and classrooms. Student’s then dined in Corpus Christi’s historic dining hall and Gonville & Caius!
There is so much to look forward to over the next two weeks, both academically and outside the classroom. After the first week of classes, we will be heading to Warwick Castle, one of England’s most iconic medieval castles. The second exciting excursion is to London, where students will have the opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Tate Modern, or alternatively pay a visit to the buzzing Covent Garden. As well as these trips, there will be a host of activities on offer for the students. From sports day to t-shirt painting, punting and debating, there is a lot of fun to be had over the course of the program.
After dinner at their respective colleges, and a welcome talk giving an overview of the program, the students had their first chance to bond with their corridor during ice breaker games, led by their corridor supervisors. Finally, following a long day of travel and new surroundings, the students were able to get an early night and have some well earned rest, with a busy week of classes and activities ahead!
