Summer 2023: Program 1 – Day 3

  • July 6, 2023
  • By Author: Elizabeth Baxter

Finally! Some sun!

An eagerly awaited sunny start to the day, students were smiley and eager to get stuck into their lessons: some were able to have lessons outside, which made a great change! As well as making telescopes in the STEM class, the politics students were introduced to feminism. The enthusiasm continues unabated.

STEM class

After lunch, lots of our students flocked to the lovely Downing Paddock for an energetic afternoon full of sports – everyone was extremely excited for volleyball and cricket! It was fantastic to see people make new friends and work together as a team. Some students opted for a more relaxed afternoon, decorating beautiful postcards to send home. This was a perfect activity to wind down from a very busy first few days of the program. Keep your eyes peeled for these!

This was a perfect activity to wind down from a very busy first few days of the program. Keep your eyes peeled for these! Sport was so popular that it was requested again in the evening, so students once again headed over to the Paddock and played some more: everyone is super excited for the up-coming Sport’s Day on Saturday. Some also relaxed with a fun movie night, cozying up with lots of popcorn and snacks to watch Pitch Perfect 2. Throughout, it has been so lovely to see the camaraderie between the students already and their enthusiasm to make new friends and different experiences. We are so grateful to be able to meet such amazing students and give them new experiences and try to make Cambridge a home away from home! Fun making postcards!

Some also relaxed with a fun movie night, copying up with lots of popcorn and snacks to watch Pitch Perfect 2.
