Residential study programs for 14-18 year olds in Cambridge, UK.
Program 2: Summer 2018 – Day 0!
With a cheerful wave and an orange t-shirt, Reach Cambridge staff were out in force from 5am in Heathrow and Gatwick to welcome our new students from all over the world. Meanwhile, back in Cambridge both welcome rooms were open in Trinity Hall and Downing College, complete with board games (some students were introduced to the magic of Scrabble and Monopoly!), snacks, drinks, music and fun! In the afternoon, students were taken for a sunny tour around their Colleges and the beautiful centre of Cambridge before having their first dinner in the beautiful college dining halls. The day was finished off with a welcome talk by senior staff, which introduced all the exciting things that the students will be doing over the next few weeks and a chance to meet all of our staff. Finally, the students then met with their corridor Supervisor and other students for a welcome meeting and ice-breaker games. Next step – SLEEP! Wishing everyone a good night’s sleep in preparation for a great first full day of subject classes, activities and much, much more!Although yesterday was super sad saying goodbye to our Program 1 students, we are SO excited to meet our Program 2 students today. We’re also really happy to still have a few students from Program 1 here to help welcome our new students.
