Welcome to Reach Cambridge Summer 2026!
This year we are welcoming our biggest cohort to date, and students and staff alike are excited for an incredible programme. Today was a busy day as we welcomed students from all over the world, spanning 6 continents, ready for an adventure of new friends and lifelong memories, alongside an academically stimulating experience. We cannot wait to get started!
This year, we are staying in four beautiful, historic colleges in the centre of Cambridge. The students are split across Trinity Hall, Gonville & Caius, Corpus Christi and St Catherine’s College – unique, beautiful and inspiring locations. After settling into their rooms, the students were able to take a tour of the city, led by our amazing supervisors, showing them around other colleges and classrooms. We love seeing each new group of students fall in love with this beautiful city as they explore the market, streets and colleges. Students then dined in Corpus Christi’s historic dining hall and Gonville & Caius!
The next two weeks have an exciting programme, packed with both academic, cultural and social activities. After the first week of classes, we will be heading to Hampton Court Palace, a spectacular Tudor palace and historica home to several British monarchs. The second exciting excursion is to London, where students will have the opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Tate Modern, or alternatively pay a visit to the buzzing Covent Garden. Alongside this, our afternoons and evenings will be packed with an exciting schedule of activities, from sports day to t-shirt painting, punting and debating.
After dinner, the welcome talk gave an overview of the program, and was a wonderful opportunity for all the students to finally come together in one room.The students then continued getting to know their corridor neighbours during ice breaker games run by their supervisors who are working closely with the students to ensure they are settling in well. Finally, following a long day of travel and new surroundings, the students got an early night to prepare for a busy week of classes and activities ahead!
