The Spring Program is a personalised University Preparation course which runs over two weeks, with students able to join us for either one or two weeks.
The program combines academic subject study, leadership and study skills. The classes and workshops are complemented by excursions to historical and cultural sites both within and outside of Cambridge as well as group activities. The students will have the opportunity to broaden their minds and explore everything Cambridge and the UK have to offer.
The students will gain insight into how to prepare for higher education and how to develop the attributes necessary for a successful leader and scholar in the 21st century. Workshops and lectures include team-building, presentation skills, debating, study skills, interview skills, university applications and community outreach.
Each week there will also be three half-day personalized ‘supervision-style’ study sessions. This will be a chance for students to not only experience university-style teaching and explore some of the topics taught at undergraduate level, but also give them access to excellent academics in their discipline of choice – a perfect opportunity to learn about life as an academic or university student and experience what it would be like studying their dream course or getting their dream job.
- Medicine & Life Sciences
- Physics & Engineering
- Economics & Business Management
- Computer Science & Maths
- English Literature
The teaching for the program will consist of lectures, workshops, discussions as well as individual and small group work. This mix of different teaching methods and activities will give the students a feel for how teaching and learning take place at undergraduate level.
The Spring Program is perfect for students looking to combine personal academic development with essential learning and leadership skills.
