Welfare Coordinators: In addition to supervisor duties, the Welfare Coordinators have more specific responsibility for the health and wellbeing of the students. The role involves some preparation pre-summer, such as preparing medical data, as well as ensuring all First Aid kits are fully stocked and available for all excursions and activities during the summer. They will also be responsible for overseeing and keeping up-to-date with any ill students, accidents and injuries. The role may also involve speaking to parents and keeping in close contact with senior staff. Additional training will be provided.
Community Outreach Coordinator: Community Outreach gives involved students the opportunity to earn community outreach hours, learn valuable skills in teamwork and project management, and take part in a project that really makes a difference. The role involves some preparation pre-summer, such as liaising with the chosen charity. In addition to supervisor duties during the summer, the position consists of coordinating the involved students’ ideas and efforts to raise money, and helping them get the entire student body involved in fundraising activities.
Teaching Assistant: You will be responsible for assisting teaching staff on a nominated subject class either daily or on a more adhoc basis.
School Rep: Every year, school groups (students and accompanying teachers) join our summer programmes. Each School Rep is allocated a school group, and the supervisor duties are tailored to their responsibility to these students and their teachers. Working as part of the supervisor team, School Reps help organise activities and supervise excursions. School Reps also reside on-site overnight in the same accommodation as the school group for whom they have specific responsibility, and part of their role includes communicating all updates and information to both students and their accompanying teachers accurately and efficiently on a regular basis.
Equipment Monitor: In addition to supervisor duties, the Equipment Monitor assists the Academic Coordinator, with responsibilities including setting up classrooms each day, being on hand in case the Academic Coordinator is not available, and acting as a point of contact for teachers when they are preparing equipment for classes. Prior to the summer, the Equipment Monitor also helps to check and update all laptops and other technical classroom equipment.
Register Monitor: In addition to supervisor duties, the Register Monitor assists the Senior Staff team in ensuring that we know students’ whereabouts. As part of this, the Monitor goes into classes at the beginning of each lesson to check that everyone is present.
Media Assistant: During the summer, we like to make sure our social media accounts are lively and up-to-date. The Media Assistant’s role is to contribute to creating this buzz, by taking good quality photos of events during the day, and adding to our Instagram Story and Twitter.
