- Job title: Program Support Lead (Seasonal)
- Place of work: Cambridge University – Colleges, classrooms and sports grounds. (Residing overnight for the duration of the program).
- Reporting to: Program Director
- Remuneration: From £640 per week based on experience. In addition, paid training takes place on the first Friday and Saturday. Half-board accommodation will be provided for the duration of your employment.
Residing overnight in Cambridge the summer 2027 program dates are as follows:
- Friday 2nd July – Saturday 17th July 2027
- Friday 16th July – Saturday 31st July 2027
- Friday 23rd July – Saturday 7th August 2027
- Friday 30th July – Saturday 14th August 2027
Please note – there will be compulsory Induction Training in Cambridge during the Friday and Saturday of your first program (these dates are shown above). If you have a graduation ceremony scheduled on these days we may be able to make alternative arrangements for your on-boarding. Please get in touch if you need to.
We will consider applicants who are available for one, two or all of the programs.
Purpose of Job: The Program Support Lead helps to ensure the students in our care have an exciting, nurturing and fulfilling experience, both academically and culturally. Alongside providing general information, guidance and support to students and staff, the Program Support Lead will undertake various administrative responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Program Directors.
Duties & Key Accountabilities
- As an ambassador of Reach Cambridge be one of the first points of contact for student and operational needs during non-classroom activities – principally during activities, evenings, meals and excursions.
- Provide information, guidance and advice on all aspects of student life in Cambridge, and program rules, and contribute to the sharing of information and knowledge during visits and excursions in the city and elsewhere.
- Identify and resolve any difficulties students may have as they relate to transfers, accommodation, administration, communicating home, getting to venues and keeping to schedules so that their Reach Cambridge experience is as trouble free as it can be.
- Remain flexible and prepare to assist with urgent enquiries, changes and, where appropriate, help to implement contingency plans.
- Communicate and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of seniority, with ease.
- Work alongside the Director of Curriculum and the academic team to help provide administrative and operational support, including monitoring registers, printing, certificate creation and logistical assistance with class excursion bookings.
- Ensure all staff are aware of, and comply with, the day-to-day management, administrative, financial and operational procedures of Reach Cambridge, including the safeguarding policy, and offer advice and guidance where they do not. Uphold, protect and promote Reach Cambridge’s core values, protocols and standard operating procedures so that students do the same.
- Undertake all other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the knowledge, skills and experience of this role as may be requested by the Programme Director or one of their nominees.

- Previous experience working in a residential setting (Highly Desirable)
- Previous experience working with young people (Essential)

- Cambridge city, its colleges and history (Highly Desirable)
