Reach Cambridge strongly recommends that all students obtain comprehensive medical and travel insurance. Given the international nature of our student community, it often makes sense for participants to choose their own insurance plan from a provider in their home country. However, if you are looking for suggestions, we can recommend two travel insurance providers: Travel Insurance Center for travellers from the USA and World Nomads for travellers from the USA and other countries. They both offer comprehensive insurance packages and would be happy to discuss possible options with you directly.
Many insurers do offer cover for coronavirus-related events, e.g. trip cancellation if you are unable to travel due to a positive covid test result/a requirement to self isolate, and cover for medical expenses/the cost of an extended stay if you contract Covid-19 while travelling. We recommend that you look for a suitable insurance policy covering such coronavirus-related eventualities.
