The Law provides the framework which governs our individual and collective behaviour. Studying the Law is therefore not only an incredibly stimulating intellectual activity, but can provide real insight into the rules and guidelines which shape whole societies.
Whether convinced that you wish to be a Lawyer or just fascinated by legal questions and problems, the Reach Cambridge Law course will provide an ideal introduction to this enormously important discipline.
Our Law course offers a vibrant introduction to the study of Law, exploring a range of modules including criminal law, international law, human rights law and constitutional law. This academically rigorous course will be brought to life through the study of real cases, as well as providing the opportunity for students to work on the debating skills essential to any court room. This will allow students to develop invaluable skills in debating, public speaking, researching, presenting an argument, and working as part of a team.
There will be a focus on both UK and international law, as students are encouraged to think critically about legal issues facing the world in a twenty-first century, globalised society. In addition, there will be an opportunity to visit law courts and understand the range of career opportunities in the sector. This dynamic course will introduce students to both the academic complexities and the vocational opportunities of the subject.
Hear from our past students:
I liked that the theory we learned in the morning, we practised in an activity in the afternoon.
You learn so much without even noticing it!
Law was the best course I’ve ever taken. I really learnt a lot and it helped guide me to what I want to become in life.
There was a perfect combination of lecture, discussion, and activities.
The tutors were very good at structuring each class. It really kept me engaged and excited.
