There's nothing like the English seaside in the summertime, and on Saturday we took our students to one of our most famous beaches  - Brighton! After a few days of rain, we were nervous about soggy fish and chips, but we were very lucky with the weather - glorious sunshine throughout the trip.

We started the day by going to the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. The museum was packed with a range of fascinating exhibitions, with displays on everything from the First World War to the Ice Age, from famous costumes to treasures found in Egyptian tombs, as well as some of the interesting history of Brighton. After spending time in the museum, lots of the students enjoyed the view of the Royal Pavilion, a former Royal Palace for the Prince Regent built in the early 19th Century, and relaxing in its beautiful gardens.

The supervisors enjoyed Brighton pier too!

Following a few hours of culture, what better way to spend the rest of our time in Brighton than on its world-famous pier and beach! Palace Pier was built over 100 years ago, and has been delighting Brighton locals and holiday-makers ever since. With lots of exciting rides, an arcade hall and delicious ice-cream, as well as a chance to paddle in the sea, the time flew by.
